Equipment

  • Frying Pan
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Cooking Spoon
  • Tongs
  • Paper Towels

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Fresh Salmon Fillet
  • 1 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
  • Cooking Oil for Frying

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare the Salmon
Start by cutting the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces. Make sure they’re about one inch thick. This helps them cook evenly and makes for perfect Crispy Salmon Bites.
  • 2. Set Up Breading Station
In one bowl, add flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, pour in the panko breadcrumbs. This is where the magic happens!
  • 3. Coat the Salmon
Take a piece of salmon, coat it in the flour mixture, dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the panko breadcrumbs. Make sure each piece is covered well. This is how we get those Golden Salmon Bites!
  • 4. Heat the Oil
In a frying pan, add enough cooking oil to cover the bottom. Heat it over medium heat until the oil shimmers. You want it hot, but not smoking!
  • 5. Fry the Bites
Carefully add the salmon bites to the hot oil. Fry them in batches to avoid crowding. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they’re golden brown and crispy. Flip them gently with tongs.
  • 6. Drain and Serve
Once cooked, place the salmon bites on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce. I love tartar sauce or a spicy aioli!
