Equipment

  • Baking Sheet – for baking the salmon fillets
  • Parchment Paper – to line the baking sheet and prevent sticking
  • Mixing Bowl – for combining the glaze ingredients
  • Basting Brush – to evenly coat the salmon with the sweet chili glaze
  • Saucepan – for cooking the jasmine rice
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons – for precise ingredient measurements
  • Paper Towels – for drying the salmon fillets
  • Fork – for fluffing the jasmine rice before serving

Ingredients

  • 2 Salmon Fillets
  • 1/4 Cup Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Tsp Fresh Grated Ginger
  • 1 Tsp Lime Juice
  • 1 Cup Jasmine Rice
  • 2 Cups Water
  • Salt to Taste
  • Fresh Cilantro for Garnish
  • Lime Wedges optional

Instructions

  • Prep the Ingredients
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water, then pat them dry with a paper towel. Set them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Glaze
In a mixing bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, grated ginger, and lime juice. Stir until it’s well-mixed. This glaze is what makes your sweet chili salmon recipe pop with flavor!
  • Glaze the Salmon
Using a basting brush, generously coat each salmon fillet with the glaze. Make sure every bit is covered! This gives your salmon that bold, sweet, and spicy kick.
  • Bake the Salmon
Place the salmon in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. Check around 12 minutes; the salmon should flake easily with a fork when it’s done.
  • Cook the Jasmine Rice
While the salmon bakes, bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. Add the jasmine rice and a pinch of salt, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it cook for 10-12 minutes until all the water is absorbed and the rice is fluffy.
  • Serve It Up
Fluff the jasmine rice with a fork, then spoon it onto plates. Place a salmon fillet on top of each serving of rice. Drizzle any extra glaze from the baking sheet over the salmon for even more flavor.
  • Garnish and Enjoy!
Sprinkle fresh cilantro over the salmon and rice. Add a few lime wedges on the side for extra zing if you like.
